Born in Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo is host of the prestigious Telemundo show "Caso Cerrado" which was the first Spanish show to be nominated a Daytime Entertainment Emmy(r) Award. Polo was born on the 11th of April of 1959 Havana, Cuba and went into Florida International University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in politics and science. Then she obtained the PhD in law at the University of Miami and practiced law for 20 decades in Miami. Following her PhD at the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for more than 20 years. Polo made her first appearance on the screen in 2001 when she was part of Telemundo's Sala de Parejas. Her expertise in law was also utilized for other court-related programs.
