Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez was born in the city of Havana, Cuba. The family moved to Miami when she was 2 years old. Ana Polo Gonzalez was raised in Havana Cuba and moved with her family to Miami when she was two. Born in Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo is the host of the prestigious Telemundo program "Caso Cerrado", the first Spanish show to be nominated an Daytime Entertainment Emmy(r) Award, and in 2015 ranked as the number one Spanish-language program on the air at 4pm in key demos. Polo was born in Havana in 1959. Following her graduation the Florida International University's Political sciences program, she made the move to Havana where she stayed for the next 20 years. After that, she received the PhD in law from the University of Miami, and was a lawyer for over 20 years in Miami. Following her PhD from the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for more than 20 years. Polo's legal knowledge was used in court shows as well as Telemundo Sala de Parejas 2001, as well as on the show Sala de Parejas. Literature awards She released Los Hijos Muertos in 1958. The novel was awarded the Critic's Award, as well as it was also awarded the Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute fled Spain to an adventure in the United States 1960. Polo has a cancer-free breast and regularly gives public speeches in order to raise funds. Polo has been an active proponent for LGBT rights for the bulk of her career. She is a Florida Bar-member since 1987 and graduated in law at the University of Miami School of Law.
